Paddy Mi (My friend) by Iruoje Emmanuel

Is it true what they say
 'No paddy for jungle'
No roof in the pouring rain? '
All man for himself' ke, how?
I bet if they've met you before
They'll think about these quotes again
 U don't trust you, I don't trust me
We trust each other a lot
But we trust more in the Almighty
 Kind yet not stupid Charitable,
u show love like u were sent by cupid
The love is tough at times but always true
those loyal like you are only a handful
Of your character I can boast
When u marry, I really hope
That I am there to give the toast
The best man, paddy mi to sure
When we die I hope we still relate as ghosts
Blood is thicker than water they say
But sometimes, good water is all you need for the day
. In a cold and bitter world
One full of lies and bereft of empathy
I look sideways and corner my eyes
Whenever some 'friends' stand behind me
One ought to be wise and was her
for even our Saviour while here
 Couldn't escape a friend's denial and another one's treachery
Paddy mi, u get mouth and I gbadun u
The world would be a better place
If there were more people like you.
